SHOOTS!™ brings the spirit of classic trick-taking games and flips it with suits that feel nostalgic and instantly familiar. It’s a fast-paced, strategic card game where players try to win “books” and out score their opponents using suits based on Rock, Paper, and Scissors. And here’s the twist: players can shoot — a move known in other games as cutting or playing a trump card — but here it’s powered by the Rock, Paper, Scissors hierarchy.

The first player or team to reach 175 points wins! The others can kick rocks.

How to Play

Each round, players collect cards by winning books. Your goal? Rack up points by winning the most valuable cards.

  1. The player to the left of the dealer starts the round.
  2. Players take turns playing one card, aiming to win the book.
  3. The first card sets the suit. Win the book by:
     • Using Rock-Paper-Scissors logic (Paper beats Rock, etc.)
     • Playing a higher card of the same suit
  4. After each card is played, draw from the deck to keep 3 cards in your hand.
  5. Win books to rack up points. Each book = 1 point. Bonus points come from special cards.

    POINT CARDS:
  • Joker = 15 pts
  • Deuce (2) = 12 pts
  • Ace = 11 pts
  • King = 4 pts
  • Queen = 3 pts
  • Jack = 2 pts

6. After each round, use the scoring pad to count your books and add up any bonus points.

Shoots is Good Family Fun!

I bought this hoping that it would help with some of the summer boredom. The game understood the assignment! My youngest, who is 13, loves playing this game with us. We've even modified it a little. When we have 3 people, we still play & it still delivers on the fun! I don't regret buying it.

I purchased this card game because I thought my grandkids would enjoy it. They are always playing rock-paper-scissors. I was correct it was a hit. I gave it 4 stars because of the scorecard. If you are playing as individuals and not partners, it takes more than two hands to get 175 points. We just continue keeping score on the back of the score sheet.

Hi there! Thanks so much for supporting and purchasing SHOOTS! Gameplay is set up for 2 (1 on 1) OR 4 players (on teams of 2). It isn't fine tuned for people playing as individuals outside of 1 on 1 game play. We're happy to hear you're making it work for you and your grands but wanted to share some context as to why your games may be taking more than 2-3 hands to reach 175 points. We look forward to hearing from you and to learning more about your sessions. Enjoy!

Was skeptical but glad I got it!

I saw the ad on Facebook and I never buy on Facebook. Went on Amazon, wasn’t there and felt a way that I could only purchase on their website. But I bought it. Was surprised to see it shipped same day. Got it in time for the weekend and played with my cousins. The instructions were easy but it did take a couple of hands to really get it but once we got it, it got intense lol. I like the fact that the game moves fast so you don’t have to sit for hours even though we ended up playing multiple rounds. I’ve played one on one and with partners and I like both but playing with four people is where it gets really crazy and unpredictable but in the best way. After you play and you see how the face cards make all the difference, the real strategy kicks in lol. Highly recommend. Definitely a new staple for us!

Fun for All

This is a great game for all social gatherings! Great for chilling at home or out at the park, children and adults stayed entertained. The rules are simple enough but still require a strategy. I watched a few rounds and was able to jump right in to playing. I love the scoring aspect too because it keeps the game unpredictable. I would definitely recommend and can’t wait to play again!!
